The 100 Day Project is a creative challenge championed by Elle Luna. Inspiration for the project came from Yale professor Michael Beirut, his graphic design students at Yale take part in a workshop called “The 100 Day Project.” A simple idea where each student chooses one action to repeat every day for 100 days. A personal challenge to help create habit, and develop creativity. My challenge for the 100 days originally began as #100daysoffoundobjects, I’d draw and paint objects that I found on my runs/walks/adventures, and use the project as a way to develop my observation skills and develop my watercolour technique. I soon realised that finding the found objects would be very difficult. I spent my runs, and walks scouring the pavement for something to draw that wasn’t litter! That’s when I decided to document the nature that I saw instead, and follow the wave of change from Spring to Summer where I live. My paintings are of birds, wildflowers, animals and insects that I see on my travels, a nature study.
